January
Hi everyone. Congratulations to the major awards recipients for 2011, especially to Connor
Bilby, for receiving the Instuctors 'Spirit Of Taekwondo' award (see 'Club Awards' page).
2012 training starts on Monday, 30th of January. I look forward to seeing you all there!

2012 Master Instructor's Message
Welcome back everyone for what promises to be yet another big year for Mu Yeh Taekwondo.
I hope that everyone had an enjoyable, safe and merry Christmas and new year.
With student numbers consistently growing we all need to ensure that everyone has every
chance to reach their goals. No matter what rank any of us are there is always someone who
can benefit from our assistance. It is important for all of us to set our own personal goals for
what we want to achieve for the year ahead. Remember, anything is possible if you set your
mind to it. A little bit of determination and belief in ourselves and who knows what we are
capable of. I'm sure that most of you are now achieving feats that before, you never thought
was possible.
As for those interested in competition in 2012, good luck to all competitors. Remember, all that
matters is that we do the best we can, strive to better ourselves. The greatest opponent and
challenge you will ever face in life will always be yourself.
Our first Grading for the year is already confirmed for May. I look forward to seeing everyone
step up to their next level. You all can do it! Believe in yourself! It's there for the taking, so
come on and take it!
Remember, all the latest news and upcoming events are first seen on this website, plus there
is new information continually added throughout the year. I'm looking forward to seeing
everyone back at training for 2012. Get ready for another eventful year, most of all, enjoy
yourselves, because that eventful year is now upon us.

Sports Injury Report
In July 2003 a Sports Injury Report commissioned by Medibank Private, from independant
research showed that sports injuries are costing Australians 1.5 billion dollars annually. The
interesting thing for our benefit is as to how much lower martial arts rates as an injury prone
sport compared to many others. The report listed the 10 most injury prone sports where a
participant required medical treatment at either an emergency department or the local sports
clinic. They are as follows;
1. Australian Rules Football 21.6%
2. Cycling 10.0%
3. Soccer 8.0%
4. Rugby Union / League 7.8%
5. Cricket 7.3%
6. Basketball 6.9%
7. Netball 6.6%
8. Hockey 2.6%
9. Martial Arts 1.9%
10. Dancing 1.9%
