Our Master Grandmaster Yong Dai Cho |
Our club's Master is Grandmaster Yong Dai Cho, 9th Dan Black Belt. Grandmaster Cho has always been Steve's Master, even from the very beginning. Grandmaster Cho first began training in the early 1950s in South Korea and came out to Australia in 1970 where he basically pioneered Taekwondo in Australia (he was the second Korean sent to Australia to spread the art of Taekwondo). President of Taekwondo Australia for many years, Grandmaster Cho still teaches at his club, Cho's Taekwondo Academy, in Melbourne as well as conducting various seminars all over the country. Since the 1980s (over a period of 20 years) Grandmaster Cho has developed Taekwondo Bongsul (stick fighting art) which is now intergrated into our system. Grandmaster Cho has presided over Steve's last three Black Belt Gradings. |
